The New Jersey Devils welcome Buffalo to the Prudential Center tonight for a standard 7 o’clock start.  Tonight's contest will air on FSN-NY (HD) and as usual, on WFAN 660 AM.  The television pregame show begins at 6:30 p.m., a time when most people are still at work trying to provide for their families.  I recently read fans posting suggestions about changing the starting time from 7:00 to 7:30, which would seemingly attract a larger crowd, who generally cannot get out of work earlier.

I hope that GM Lou Lamoriello understands the situation and will work on the problem.  Last season, the Devils started weekday games at 7:30 p.m., but were situated in the construction-fested swampy Meadowlands.  This year, the weekday crowds have been sparse (I was there against Florida and will be versus Buffalo) to say the least, but the weekend attendance numbers are not bad.

Can someone do something right?  Ticket codes for half price and other sales are all listed below.  I will keep everyone posted with regards to these deals, which can be used on the Devils' ticket program site.

At least, the Devils are winning.  They have to be, considering that Pittsburgh is hot and its goaltender Ty Conklin is unstoppable.

WFAN 660AM - Matt Loughlin and Sherry Ross (yikes!) I have not heard too much positive feedback about the dynamic duo.  It certainly cannot compete with the legendary John Hennessy and Randy Velischek.  Really, Mike Miller was the voice of the Devils until he underwent throat cancer treatment.

I will never forget Miller's famous line.

“And that makes it ONE...NOTHING...NEW JERSEY!”
