Devils on Versus, TSN Tonight

The Devils ARE playing on Versus (HD) and Canada's TSN (HD) tonight at 7 o'clock against the Penguins. I believe this is New Jersey's first national telecast of the season (I could be wrong).  What I know is that the Devils play in downtown Newark rather than East Rutherford as an LA Times reporter detailed in her game story.  I also know that the game will take place at the Prudential Center and that Sutter rightfully challenged his captain.

According to James Mirtle, the Devils need to go 15-15-1 in their final 31 games (not including Saturday night’s 6-3 effort) to make the playoffs.  I trust his research but it’s certainly not justice, considering their division is still really competitive.

They are scheduled for Versus (channel 408 by me) two more times this season, TSN once and CBC once.  The game WILL NOT televised on FSNY locally.

Unfortunately, I do not expect Doc and/or Chico to be calling the game as always. Before the game, please enjoy my Devils Broadcast Timeline. I am unsure if Doc has a contract with Versus as he does with NBC.  On Sunday afternoon, Doc called the Rangers 5-3 come-from-behind win, which was televised on the 2008 NHL on NBC regular season flexible schedule (before the Super Bowl). The Devils have one chance to make the flex schedule, their eighth and final meeting with the NY Rangers, which is coincidentally also their final game of the 2007-08 regular season.
