Watch the Devils tackle mighty Pittsburgh minus Sidney Crosby. The game is at 7 pm on FSNY HD, WFAN 660 AM with a 30-minute preview at 6:30 p.m. Jamie Langenbrunner, whom I did not mention as ill against Philadelphia, apparently got sick but played against Montreal two nights later. He did not practice on Monday and will miss Tuesday's game, Tom Gulitti reported. Pittsburghis missing its own captain in Crosby.  Enforcer Cam Janssen was brought up from Albany and may take the ice against the Rangers this Friday night. For more on the Devils broadcast timeline, on which I toiled like a researcher unearthing an ancient Dinosaur bone. Jay Pandolfo also skated the entire practice for first time since suffering his ligament injury on Nov. 28 (TG). However, head coach Brent Sutter was not present due to flight problems en route from Canada to New Jersey. The assistants controlled practice in his absence.

Game 50: Devils host Pittsburgh at Prudential Center tonight, battle for first place

Game time: 7 o'clock (preview at 6:30 PM)

Radio: WFAN 660 AM

Langenbrunner, OUT

Pandolfo, OUT

Janssen, OUT

Andy Greene IN, after a three game absence/ healthy scratch (replace Langenbrunner with seventh blueliner instead of 12 offenseman)

Sheldon Brookbank, OUT, healthy scratch

Johnny Oduya has a career night in Philadelphia but reverted to his older shelf when NJ hosted Montreal right before the All Star break.

Let's hope for the newer Oduya, which Elias described as Bobby Orr.

At least until GM Lou Lamoriello makes a surprising trade for a top-notch defenseman or offensive help. NJ has only scored more goals as a team (121) than the Rangers (120).
