Elias, DiPietro Out Tonight
Unfortunately, Patrik Elias tweaked his groin in last night's 2-1 victory over Buffalo and would not play in the Devils' contest in Long Island. Martin Brodeur started again in the back-to-back matchup. However, reserve Wade Dubielewicz started in place of Rick DiPietro, who was out again with a sprained knee. An MRI reported no significant damage to the knee (Rotowire via Newsday).
Starters:
Pelley replaced Elias on his line with Dainius Zubrus and Brian Gionta. The other two main offensive lines remained the same. Mike Rupp, who was a healthy scratch last night, was stationed on the fourth line with Arron Asham and three rotating centers (TG).
I apologize about not informing you earlier. Busy weekend. Happy Holidays. Enjoy the game. Game story and a lot more later tonight, this weekend.
