Resurrect your professional basketball career, move from Santa Clara, California (college) to Phoenix (average a few baskets a night for two seasons), then onto Dallas (Cuban and his Mavs) and finally back to Phoenix for a chance at redemption.  Once you return to Phoenix, you lead your team to the playoffs for three straight years, hang two MVP trophies in your living room, but are still missing that final one... ah, right... the Lou Marsh Trophy awarded to Canada’s No. 1 athlete each year (my mystery guest is from North America, good guess)… instead of 33-year-old Steve Nash presenting the award to his family, a younger and better looking boy takes home the prize… even though he cannot legally drink alcoholic beverages in the United States where he makes opponents look like children on ice… Sidney Crosby has the name recognition and skills (oh yes) to take home Canada’s most prized possession Canada’s second most-prized possession behind Lord Stanley’s Cup of course…and the achievements… including Hart Memorial for league MVP and Art Ross (led league in scoring points)… the difference between these two phenomenal athletes lies in their ages, not in their capabilities… Unlike Nash, who took a while to get going in the NBA, Crosby has been doing it from the start…he’s worthy of the Lou Marsh…even though a hockey player hadn’t captured the honor since 1993, a span of 14 years…and finally, Crosby actually plays several games per season in Canada (Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, and finally Western Conference cities in his third season in the league)… it’s a lot easier to promote Crosby... media attention loves "Kid"… 'nough said… boo yah... give that dog a bone...he might fetch you a Stanley Cup one day...
