Like father like son.  As Devils head coach Brent Sutter continues to reign in his first season at the helm in New Jersey, his 18-year-old son Brandon continues to make headlines back in Canada.

Brandon is officially a member of the 22-man roster for the upcoming world junior championship in the Czech Republic, according to Team Canada.

Brandon, a center, was drafted by Carolina 11th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft..

Currently, Brandon, an assistant captain for the Red Deer Rebels, leads his last-place team in scoring with 25 points, after finishing last season with 57 in 71 games.

At this pace, I can see Brandon being called up in a year or so depending on his growth, consistency as a player.  Don't forget that he is part of the second generation of the legendary Sutter Family and will be scrutinized for his efforts... it also means that hockey is part of his blood and that he has the opportunity follow in his father's successful footsteps...
