It's good to take a look at the numbers from time to time.  Zach Parise is leading the Devils in assists and points this season.  Penguins Evgeni Malkin has 19 assists,  four more points than Parise.  Vincent Lecavalier on Tampa Bay leads the league in points with 29.  He's on fire - another multi-point game tonight.

Tonight, Scott Stevens, Al MacInnis, Ron Francis, Al MacInnis, Mark Messier will be inducted in hockey's Hall of Fame in Toronto, Ontario.  They will be inducted as players and longtime NHL executive Jim Gregory will be enshrined as a builder.  It's 2:21 a.m. and I really want to sit here and write more on Stevens' enshrinement, but I'm exhausted from a long weekend.

The New Jersey Devils were flattened by the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight 5-0.  The season, which had been on the rise, was just deflated by Sidney Crosby and his teammates.

The New Jersey Devils officially said adios to thirty-four-year-old defenseman Richard Matvichuk.  Well, they placed him on waivers and there is a very small window that he will return to the team sometime in the near future.  I am still bewildered by GM Lou

Atlantic Division- Some important games tonight in the NHL NJ Devils take on Penguins in the Prudential Center where they are 2-1 in the new $375 million complex... and the fans are "where in the world" are they... I hope that they fill the arena to the max or at least to a rather full capacity tonight...

The New Jersey Devils opened at the Prudential Center on Oct. 27, the same night that New York’s Rangers and Islanders were “coincidentally” also hosting home games.  This is the first of several problems which can easily be fixed.

Although the Prudential Center was not soldout (not even close at 13,218) for game two of its inaugural season, the Devils 6-1 victory secured their first win in their new state-of-the-art facility.  The first contest was a bit embarrassing but I recapped it nevertheless.
