Cmon Devils! Senators are Dominating Monday's Rare Day Game Through 1.5 Periods

I will have more on this game later this evening, but the Senators are pouncing on loose pucks, finishing their checks, and leading 2-0 midway through the second period.

The Devils are still learning to deal with their new linemates and offensive-minded style of play under rookie coach Brent Sutter. In doing so, they have allowed several good chances on Brodeur.

They need to work on the power play and finding the holes in the Senators defense. Martin Gerber deserves credit for stopping every Devils shot until now, with under 4:00 remaining in the second period. His defensemen have prevented the Devils from getting second chance shots as well.

Elias and Zubrus have not scored or assisted yet in this game, which is an obvious key to winning. Either has Gionta, as the Devils keep slipping and falling down on the Senators ice.

Let's get a goal please. Actually, at least two for one point, three for the victory.
