1. Jacques Lemaire- has been the the first ever (and only) head coach of the Minnesota Wild organization... earned playoff spots in only two of the six seasons but has seen a steady rise in winning percentage in the last three seasons. The Wild are currently 5-0-1, the last undefeated team.

2. Robbie Ftorek- After GM Lou Lamoriello fired Ftorek with nine games remaining on the 1999-2000 Stanley Cup winning season, he coached the Boston Bruins to two consecutive winning seasons which included one playoff appearance. His Boston reign came to an abrupt end similar to that of New Jersey, as Ftorek was given the boot in the finals days of what was a winning regular season for the B's.

3. Herb Brooks- A professional coach known for the Miracle on Ice, Brooks coached the New Jersey Devils to the playoffs in 1992-1993, where they lost to Pittsburgh 4-1. Seven years later, he returned to the ice as head coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins, during the 1999-2000, where he commanded his team back to the playoffs.  They successfully defeated the Washington Capitals in the first round before running into the Philadelphia Flyers, who won the series 4-2.
