Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox- AL Pennant Winner

Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox for coming back from a 3-1 series deficit to win the final game 11-2 and the series 4-3.  The organization is amazing, players, management, and of course the fans... Dustin Pedroia might be the series MVP for his work in the last three games of the series, including a game-seven two-run home run to extend the Sox lead to 5-2.  Pitching was definitely a key in game seven as well- Daisuke Matsuzaka earned his $100 million contract- well for now... 5IP, 6H, 2ER, 3K, while Indians starting pitcher Jake Westbrook faired alright in the loss- 6IP, 9H, 3ER, 5K but his bullpen failed him in giving up 7ER in 2IP to prevent any chance of comeback.

... time for the Colorado Rockies... it's gonna be an amazing World Series...

Prediction:

Rockies in 6

Illogical Reasoning:

1. Winning Streak- I just cannot bet against the Rockies right now... they have won 21 out of their last 22 games

2. Starting Pitching- Beckett, MVP of ALCS and Red Sox ace... Rockies starters dominated Sox hitters in regular season (led 20-5 in runs scored in taking the season series 2-1) and Sox starters not named Beckett have yet to perform in this year's playoffs

3. Bullpen- I trust the young Rockies bullpen, who were able to get out Utley, Rollins, and Howard in first round

4. Starting Lineup- Red Sox have the edge no doubt.. Helton, Holliday are starving for a World Series though... who wants it more?

5. Intangibles- Rockies fans vs. Red Sox fans (maybe they are spoiled since winning one over the Cardinals in 2004)

My ridiculous pick is still the Colorado Rockies... I am going with the underdog in this situation... I do hope that the Rockies win and prove to everyone that the National League can take on the top American league team- Boston, which was really the best team from spring training throughout the regular season and into the playoffs....

The Rockies are obviously underdogs, but lines makers will be concerned after Beckett loses game one to Jeff Francis and Sox fans are stunned, Yankees fans celebrating...
