NHL All-Star Voting Update
The latest results from fan voting for the 2008 NHL All-Star Game to be held Jan. 27 in Atlanta... Martin Brodeur currently stands in second place behind New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lendqvist who is among league leaders in GAA (1.81) and save percentage (.931) and second in shutouts (4) behind Pascal LecLaire, who should be starting for the Western Conference.

Eastern Conference Gossip:
First:
Martin St. Louis should be No. 1 in votes, Alfredsson second, Briere third, and Crosby fourth or fifth. Crosby's team is in last place in the Atlantic Division- 'nough said about him. Briere's Flyers are not only out of the cellar from last season but are leading their division.
I cannot understand Patrik Elias getting 9,000 plus votes. Why Gionta has nearly 3,000 votes as well beats me... both players are underachieving and need the time off to regroup, not to think that they are the premier forwards in the league... which, of course they are not...
In fact, the Devils best player, Zach Parise, is not even mentioned as a top forward. He might not be the best forward in the Eastern Conference, but he's definitely worthy of as many votes as Elias.
Former Devil:
Brian Rafalski started for Devils in the 2003-2004 NHL All-Star Game before, but now plays behind Nicklas Lidstrom. I still think he's one of the best defenseman in the Western Conference and is fourth among all defenseman in assists (17), third in power play assists (8), and fourth overall in points (3G 17A= 20Pts).
