Martin Brodeur -- Coming To A Mall Near You

Jeremy Kenter's picture

Devils Goaltender Martin Brodeur is coming to a mall near you.  Well, if you live in Freehold, sure.  He is signing autographs, jerseys, pucks, and even equipment tomorrow night:

Where:
BC Sports in the Freehold Raceway Mall

When:
Thursday, November 29th, 2007
Time: 6:00-7:30 PM
Phone:
(732) 761-8929

Gosh, this is a fun experience, especially for the children, who are going to be lining up the mall to get Marty's Kirby John Hancock (tribute to Chris Farley).  Here's the catch.  Steiner Sports Marketing is promoting the signing and will only permit Brodeur to sign items purchased through its company.  We're talking $75-100 per item, seriously.  Autographed tickets for pucks, photos, and mini masks are $75 each not including 5$ surcharge for certificate of authenticity.  Equipment or numbers are $100 a piece and that does not include an additional $25 for inscriptions or personalizations (which is more understandable due to the nature of the additional work that would need to be done).

Hold on one second… Gotta love reading the fine print:

“Mr. Brodeur will only be signing those items accompanied by an autograph ticket purchased at BC Sports Collectibles. Please, in order to satisfy all of our customers, no photographs. One autograph per ticket. Quantities are limited. Must be present at signing in order to receive autograph.”

Of course, there is a catch, as I mentioned earlier.  You cannot bring a jersey or puck from home, it’s worthless for this occasion.  You can still wear it to games though, including tonight against Dallas and Friday against Montreal for the Annual Puck Night. Go Devils!

Brodeur Signing

I just wanted to thank Scott for the clarification.  You only needed a jersey or puck, which you could have brought from home, for the Brodeur signing.

Brodeur signing

Jeremy,
You didn't read the fine print that well. Marty signed anything you wanted as long as you have a ticket. The ticket is what you had to purchase at BC Sports. I brought my jersey from home and got it signed with no problem. I go to these signings all the time and never have any problems paying the players I collect for their time.
