Fantasy Football Update

As we all know that Steven Jackson is out for this week and Deuce McAlister is done for the season.
Plaxico Burress went for a second opinion on a nagging ankle injury . NYTIMES football blogger John Branch is following this story closely.

"The nagging right ankle of Giants receiver Plaxico Burress has nagged enough, so Burress and trainer Ronnie Barnes headed to Charlotte, N.C., today to meet with foot and ankle orthopedic specialists Dr. Robert Anderson. The Giants hope that they will figure out a better way to “manage” (their word) the injury, which kept Burress out most of the preseason and all of practice last week. Coach Tom Coughlin will not speculate on any of the possibilities, including surgery."

Of course, if you were dumb enough to ever start QB Rex Grossman, guess what, he is benched this week in favor of Brian Griese, Bob's son. Don't pick him up either.

Start Jackson's backup Brian Leonard, if someone else has yet to pick him up off waivers yet. Former Rutgers star RB and second-round draft choice, Leonard is making his NFL debut on Sunday afternoon at Dallas. Fox Sports seems to agree with this choice as well as suggest other starters and question marks entering the fourth week of the season.
