Finally A Win for the Devils
Posted November 16th, 2008 by IanAfter five games, an overtime period, and a shootout the Devils finally pull one off. Instead of taking game tonight's game against the Capitals after three periods, Alex Ovechkin scored goal number two for him with eight-tenths of a second left in regulation to the game 5-5.
In the shootout, Scott Clemmensen stopped all three shots, including Ovechkin's and picked up his first win for the Devils since Feb. 25, 2007.
I attached a clip of the game tying goal.

The previous
game, a 4-0 loss Washington, I described as unintelligent. Head coach
Brent Sutter ensured a more competitive match in the second half of a
back-to-back stretch, yet the Devils fell for the third straight game,
2-1 to Montreal, in front of a soldout raucous crowd of 21,273 at the Bell Centre.
Both teams worked hard in the first period,
with the Devils leading 13-8 in shots on goal. However, after 20 minutes
of action, the game remained scoreless.
