Tonight We Honor The True Devils Captain
Posted December 7th, 2007 by Dude Joel
Tonight, the Devils will be honoring Hall-of-Fame inductee Scott Stevens, the true Devils captain. For those of you who may have forgotten, here's a quick list of some of his accomplishments:
- 3-time Stanley Cup Champion
- 14-time NHL All-Star (13 played)
- 3-time NHL second team All-Star
- Conn Smythe Trophy Winner
- NHL All-Rookie Team
- 233 Playoff Games Played
- 118 Playoff Points
- 1994 NHL Plus-Minus Award Winner
- First player to have his number retired by the New Jersey Devils
Keep in mind that this list does not include all the intangibles.
If there was a spot on there for every bone-crushing, game-changing hit, the list would never end. In fact, the only thing that did end was Eric Lindros' career.
The only true way to honor the Devils captain is to win big tonight. Lets go Devils!
