Alex Rodriguez- Regular Season MVP... Playoff WOP
Yes, Rodriguez is worthy of the regular season's annual most valuable player award in the American League. Nobody will argue that precious trophy should not belong on his mantel. His statistics and game-winning hits are MVP-caliber. But, as Yahoosports reports, Arod's hall-of-fame worthiness does not include his Yankee Playoff experience, where is he known as the worst offensive player, or WOP. "A total of 123 players have had RBIs during the past two postseasons. Rodriguez isn't one of them." Boohoo... You make all the money in the world, play for the biggest stage and cannot come through in the clutch. It's that simple. Yahoosports continues, "Yankees fans will be thinking about different numbers: 1-for-14 against Detroit in last year's division series and 2-for-15 versus the Angels the previous year. Including the end of New York's 2004 AL championship series collapse against Boston, A-Rod is 4-for-41 (.098) with no RBIs in his last 12 postseason games. And here's the most shocking stat: He's hitless in his last 15 postseason at-bats with runners in scoring position, striking out six times." Will Rodriguez continue his misery come October this season? Well, his supporters will use this season as the indicator that he is ready for a playoff run. On the other end, he has never performed well in a Yankee uniform come playoff time. Regular season statistics mean nothing after the season finishes. I am definitely more of a critic of Arod for many reasons. But, the biggest is that he does not contribute when it matters most, the postseason. Will he continue to underachieve and still make the most money of any baseball player? Probably, Scott Boras represents him. The guy got Barry Zito a 7 years/$126 Mil. dollar deal from the San Francisco Giants organization- pathetic, losing efforts there. Anyway, as the MLB season winds down, only Rodriguez can blame himself for not carrying the team on his shoulders. If he happens to prove me wrong this time around, I will not feel guilty, or like an idiot, just look at this contract. It's his job.

AROD SUCKS
A stat guy can say what he believes. Until now, Rodriguez has not proven himself as a Yankee in the playoffs. That statistic you cannot argue.
good stuff man ... keep an
good stuff man ... keep an eye on this postseason tho, any good (objective) stat guy will tell you the sample size is way to small; he might break out
(he could also suck haha)
